Which audience did your campaign reach?

This guide explains how to see which audience segments a sent campaign reached and what that information is useful for. About 3 minutes.

You need at least one campaign in Sent status. If you haven’t launched one yet, follow How to create your first campaign first.

In the side menu, click My campaigns, then the name of a sent campaign.

Inside the report, click Segments in the left-hand menu.

This section shows the segments the campaign was sent to at the time of the send, along with their filter criteria.

For each segment you’ll see:

  • Segment name: the name you gave it when you created it.
  • Status: whether the segment is still active or has been deleted.
  • Criteria: the rules that define who’s included in that segment (for example, fans who bought tickets for a specific event).

If you click View detail, you go straight to the segment to see its current contacts.

Knowing which audience a campaign reached lets you compare results across different segments.

For example: if you sent the same campaign to two segments and one has a much higher open rate than the other, you know that audience profile responds better to that type of message.

With that information you can:

  • Prioritise your most active segments in future campaigns.
  • Create more refined segments by excluding the profiles that respond least.
  • Replicate the campaign with adjustments targeting the segments that lagged behind.
