Explore your audience for the first time
In this tutorial you’ll take your first tour through the Fans section of Nevent. You’ll see what information the contact list offers, what each column means and how to open a specific fan’s profile to see their summary.
By the end you’ll know how to find your way around this section and read the most important data about your audience. The tour will take about 5 minutes.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”For the Fans section to have content, you need at least one contact registered in your organisation. If you haven’t uploaded any contacts yet, follow the guide Import your contacts first and come back here when you’re done.
Step 1: Get to the Fans section
Section titled “Step 1: Get to the Fans section”In the side menu, find the Audience block and click Fans.
A table opens with all your organisation’s contacts. It’s the central view from which you’ll manage your fan database.
Step 2: Read the table columns
Section titled “Step 2: Read the table columns”The table has seven columns. Each one gives you a different piece of data about the contact.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The fan’s full name. Shows a dash if it isn’t recorded. |
| The fan’s email address. | |
| Phone | Phone number. Shows a dash if none is recorded. |
| Status | The contact’s status within your organisation. |
| Organisation | The name of your organisation. |
| Experiences | Number of experiences linked to that fan. |
| Value | Total accumulated amount the fan has spent, in euros. |
Pay attention to the Value column: it’s a quick way to identify your most valuable fans without opening each profile.
Step 3: Search for a specific fan
Section titled “Step 3: Search for a specific fan”At the top of the table there’s a free-text search field. Type the name or email of the fan you want to find.
The table updates as you type and shows only the contacts that match your search.
Try it now: type any name and watch the list filter.
Once you’re done, clear the search field to see the full list again.
Step 4: Open a fan’s profile
Section titled “Step 4: Open a fan’s profile”Click any row in the table.
That fan’s profile opens. The first screen you see is always the Summary. At the top of the profile there’s a menu with several tabs: Summary, Personal details, Public profile, Interests, Tickets, Purchases, Subscriptions, Conversations and Interaction.
For now, focus on the Summary tab, which is shown by default.
Step 5: Read the fan’s Summary
Section titled “Step 5: Read the fan’s Summary”The Summary gives you an overview of the fan at a glance. It has two main blocks.
Header metrics
Section titled “Header metrics”The first block shows four figures:
- Total spend in euros.
- Number of purchases made.
- Events attended.
- Nevent Score, with the corresponding level label, for example “Low engagement”.
These figures tell you, at a glance, how much that fan has invested in your organisation and how often they’ve engaged.
Communications block
Section titled “Communications block”The second block shows the fan’s consent status for each communication channel.
| Channel | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Marketing email | Whether the fan can receive your email campaigns. |
| Transactional email | Whether the fan can receive purchase confirmations and account notices. |
| Marketing SMS | Whether the fan can receive your SMS campaigns. |
| Marketing push | Whether the fan can receive push notifications. |
| Whether the fan has opted in to receive WhatsApp messages. |
Below the channels is the Email status block, which shows whether the fan’s email address is valid or has hard bounces recorded. A hard bounce means that email doesn’t exist or doesn’t accept messages, and Nevent marks it as invalid to protect the reputation of your sends.
