How to read a campaign, ad set and ad detail

When you open a Paid Media campaign, you can keep drilling down: from the campaign to its ad sets, and from each ad set to its individual ads. In this guide you learn what each piece of data on those three screens means.

You need at least one connected ad account and some campaign with data. About 5 minutes.

You need to have connected at least one ad account and have synced campaigns in the Paid Media panel. If you’ve never opened the panel before, start with your first look at Paid Media.

In the main Advertising panel, click the name of any active campaign to see its detail.

The campaign screen shows:

  • The Meta, Google or TikTok identifier, objective and active period in the header.
  • Three headline indicators: Spend (with the percentage of budget used), Cost per result, Results and Reach, Frequency, and ROAS.
  • Three charts: Spend vs Results over time, Cost per result evolution, and Impressions vs Reach.
  • The Ad sets table, with the ad sets that make up that campaign.

In the source example, the campaign “Demo Fest 2026 - Presale traffic” had two active ad sets: one retargeting fans, and one lookalike audience (3%).

Click the name of an ad set in the table to see its detail.

The ad set screen shows:

  • CPM: cost per thousand impressions, i.e. how much you pay every time your ad is shown to a thousand people.
  • Frequency: how many times, on average, each unique person has seen the ad. A high number (above 3-4) can mean your audience is already saturated.
  • CTR: the percentage of people who clicked the ad out of those who saw it.
  • Audience settings: demographic, location, interest and behavior data for the segment the ad set targets.
  • Ads: the table of individual ads that make up that set.

Scrolling down on the ad set screen, you’ll find the Ads section, with every creative that makes up that set.

The table shows, for each ad: name, status, spend, impressions, clicks, CTR and CPC (cost per click).

Clicking an ad shows its detail: a preview of the creative when available, performance metrics (impressions, CTR, CPC, cost per result and number of conversions), the Engagement section (reactions, comments and shares), and cost evolution over time.

From the detail view you can also jump straight to the ad on Meta with the View on Meta button.

You now know how to read the three levels of detail in Paid Media: the campaign, its ad sets and its individual ads. You can now compare the performance of each creative and decide which ones to pause or refresh.
